Jim,

When I mentioned how loose the timing chain of my engine was, you suggested that I look at the plug in the block face that is suppose to oil that.

Well, I unscrewed it and could not see though it. One little chip of carbon came out.

During my search for replacement valves, I am also going to work up a plan to put a crud catcher in that squirter. I don't currently have any idea what it is going to be, but I have lots of strange stuff to choose from. Very fine steel screen might be good. Like the stainer for a paint spray gun. I really don't know, but I can afford to do a lot of thinking.
