Netters
Can someone explain to me why I keep seeing mini-split Heating and AC
systems in assorted RV's ?
They operate off 208 / 230 V. Single Phase 60 Hz. How is an RV generator
powering that?
Just curious?

After several posts today, I now realize that the "Mini-split" referred to air conditioners!
A friend here in OKC had his patio enclosed and added a Fujitsu "mini-split" a/c system to the room. It works very well, even in hot central Oklahoma. It is used to cool and heat a room which is at least 400 square feet in area. I suspect it runs on 240 Volts but one of sufficient capacity for a GMC m/h could very well work on 120 Volts.
It would have been better for the original poster to have chosen "Mini-split Air Conditioners" (or similar) for a subject line.

Rob
Very common in Canada for saving on heating costs in winter and for A/C
comfort in the summer. I also noticed last week that Mexico is no stranger
to them either.
