I started this on Facebook and the pictures are there.
So in one of my parts runs to Alex Sirum Gmc, Jeff told me about a 23' coach down in Cudjoe Key. He had been contacted by the owners daughter about selling the coach. I told him I had an event in the Keys in a few weeks and I could look at the coach. Well after a wonderful weekend with the P1 Superstocks, My wife and I cruised down to look at the coach and meet with the owner and his grandson. The backstory was the coach had been in the hurricane in the Keys in 2005 and had been only driven once after that to it's current storage lot.
The exterior is not too bad, the interior is all there, but falling apart. But the worst is the frame. In most areas it's just gone! I not sure you could pull it out of the dirt without pulling it in 2.
I have the VIN TZE336V100620, I wonder if we could check and see if it ever made the registry?
I talked to the daughter of the owner, her father has failing health and she wants to clear up his affairs in the Keys and move him to her home in California. She was hoping the coach was worth something and was willing to use her AAA to get it loaded and out of the Keys. I told her I thought, at best, someone would take it as a parts coach and save it from just going to the scrap yard.
I have her contact info, if anyone has some thoughts let me know. I hate to see a 23 go to scrap.
