Greetings -
I've always wondered about some of my coach's wiring from the previous owners work - and my recent toll window replacement project has the drivers side panel removed - exposing two circuits that really puzzle me.
First one : 12V and ground from the house fuse panel. 12V runs from a 5 amp fuse (labeled lights) to another fuse (big - 10 maybe 20 amp) - then to a switch - and then to energize a relay for big Bosch driving lights. I've removed those driving lights... The relay was properly wired to provide power to the lights from the battery. The origination of the wiring seems to be factory installed as it runs through the insulation of the panel behind the driver and through the drivers side arm rest panel... Why might someone wire things up this way ?? I'm curious because the electronic work (lots more of it) seems well thought out and cleanly installed.
Second one : Another 12V and ground circuit from the house fuse panel traveling up to the engine compartment via the drivers side. I haven't yet chased its origin or destination - but it looks factory installed. Can anyone call out a factory installed circuit from the house fuse panel to the engine compartment ??
Neither of these are large gauge cables for the battery combining booster and they both appear smaller gauge than the wiring to the battery isolator.
And... One of the circuits travels through a hole at the bottom of the drivers footwell. Is that "factory" ??
As always, thank you all for the wealth of information and experience shared here.
