Just like the Corvairs - save anything in decent shape you have room for. Eventually, someone will want it.

Were do you stop saving parts. I've certainly been in the situation of needing items that no one seem to have saved. Would anyone need the rear body corners? This fall I'm getting rid of ALL of my Chevelle/Covair parts. Bob Dunahugh

There's one lis5ted for sale with a crunched passenger corner. So far, he's out of line on his price, but time will bring him to reality. Save parts as long as you have room for them. And Michael, I had one Corvair once (65). I doubt even Bob can run fast enough to give me another ';0

Johnny,

I had a '65 also. I didn't think it was so bad -- being towed all over the
Mohave Desert. Bob might run fast enough to give me one, but I couldn't
run fast enough to get away from HER wrath. SHE HATED it -- especially
when she had to rope-tow it. Still gets onto me about it after 47 years.

I had a '65 convertible with a 140hp.

It was a nice car handled well too, if a little front end light.

I'd take on for free 😃

Ken,

I had a '63 Spyder and a '65 Corsa. My wife bought a '68 for herself.
I badly wanted another one to put a Cadillac 500 in the back seat, but
I wanted to use it. When they became Collector's Items, that became
an impossible dream. I still have a late transaxle and some trim parts.

Man! You really get into them, don't you? Mine was just an old clunker I
bought for a 2nd car. Looks were nice but motor needed rebuilding. I
didn't' have the time to do it, what with work & kids, so we just towed it
around trying to keep it running. :-( Didn't keep it very long & didn't
miss it when it was gone.

500, cheapest made. Didn't even have pushbuttons on the radio. Handled nicely (If you paid attention to tyre pressure front to back) and fell to pieces mechanically.
