hello all I know I had posted a while back about this but I cant find the post. my central vacuum needs a new motor. was wondering where I could find that or just buy another vacuum unit off of someone. my unit was a Thomas, and had a 90 elbow on the side of the case. I miss my central vac as it made cleaning a breeze and was easy to stash out of the way.

Sometimes the old motor can be fixed. On ours, it barely ran from the PO, but we found that the brushes were just stuck from probably sitting a long time. A little lube in there to loosen them up, and it runs perfect now.

Search eBay for "ametek lamb" and you'll find all sorts of motors for vacuum cleaners. This outfit is apparently a source for all sorts of vacuum motors.
