The only starter I could get in Duluth was from Advanced Auto Parts. Rebuilt in Mexico. Took the solenoid apart. Both terminals were copper. The disc was plated steel. Not copper. I had another new solenoid on my shelf. It had both terminals made of copper with a copper disc. Solenoids are vey simple to take apart to check. Bob Dunahugh

Bob,
I have a problem with the starter groaning.
Could not find s new one on our way thru Duluth.
There is a good rebuild shop call Tri County Electric Auto. Stopped there to remove the starter have have them rebuild it while I waited.
Goods news is that it was a loose electrical connection.
Would recommend them for a future rebuild.
