Hey all,
I went to start my 6000W power drawer yesterday, but couldn't do it with
the remote switch. It starts and runs fine with the switch on the unit. I
get 12 volts at the remote switch but am leary about jumping wires
across the switch. Which wires should I jump or should I be looking
somewhere else first? The light in the switch works when it's running
and I can shout it down remotely.
Thanks

Most likely corrosion ar the gen to body connector or at the flag terminals at top row of board. The switch grounds either start or stop connection.

There is a plug in connector in the back of the generator cabinet. One end goes to the generator control board and the other end to the cable running to your remote panel. It is very common for that connector to get dirty and corrode connections.

The other possibility is the switch itself. It could have some dirty contacts. I really believe it is the connector in the cabinet. It is a very common failure point.
