My 69 Goodyear tire testing Yenko had 2 Carter 4070 install back in 1969. One for each tank. One of the pumps died just last year. And it had the job to get fuel to the engine at a rate of 4 miles per gal at 130 to 140 MPH. Thus the one still working is 48 years old. Not a bad record. Bob Dunahugh

Bob,

Yep, as the saying goes, "they just don't make them like they used to."

I'm serious and ask are the pumps still made in the USA or by the heathen
Chinese?

Rob, I'll check when I get home. I have a new 4070. I suspect it's Chinese,
which, if they are made to the same production standards, won't be a
problem. But I've certainly bought stuff made in USA that was no longer
made to its traditional production specifications and turned out to be junk.
