We have a 75 Eleganza II in Washington state. We went and got Collector plates for it. Pretty easy, once the clerk at Dept of Motor Vehicles looked it up. There are limitations for use, but completely legit for us. Look it up on your state's web site. Cost me a total of $122, but that's permanent, never expires, and that includes new plates.

I renewed my "regular" plate for my 76 GMC coach today. Cost was $26 plus a $1.50 charge for insurance verification. I also submitted my order for a personalized "vanity" plate for the coach that will read "GMC76MH." Cost is $20 plus $3 for mailing the plate when the state prison's convicts get around to making it. That plate will look especially nice inside the 1976 GMC Motorhome license plate frame I bought from Kim's crew at Shawnee.
Oh, I forgot to mention that we have a choice of six or eight base colors for the specialty plates!
Since my coach is a light beige, I ordered a "Sand" colored plate.

I ordered Collector Plates for my GMC. Printed the form, sent it in along with the required fee. Washington State deposited my check and it went through my checking account on the first of March. I'm still waiting for my plates to arrive? I check the mailbox every day hoping...
I guess since the state cashed the check and it cleared my bank I should be getting my plates soon?

I cant believe it!!! I finally got my collector plates today!! I had to pay additional to get the license current before they would issue the collector plates... I hadn't licensed the coach in over two years because I was still working oh her. It cost an additional $ 145.00 to finally get this done... But I'm glad its over...
Long story short you can get collector plates in Washington State for your GMC!!
Thanks to everyone who helped...
