Can someone measure the length of the lower link, i.e. the link that connects the control to the sensor?
I'm trying to do some geometry and I don't have the lower links.
Thanks!

Keith,
My link (adjustable) are set at 3.875 center to center.
Get the adjustable, there's not enough adjustment on the heigth valve arm

Keith,
Hard to measure behind the bogie/ tire where bottom mount.
I do not know how accurate you need to be, but i got a surprising 7.5 inches with my tape measure. Mine are of the oem non adjustable variety.

Keith,
To set my adjustable ride height links to the same length as the OEM fixed
links, I use a couple of those links as jigs. I've just re-measured their
center-to-center lengths: 5.0"
If you're going to Shawnee, I'll have the FINAL 10 sets of my adjustable
ride height links available. The parts arrived today to finish up the
partials I had on hand when I declared "no more". I gave JimK all the
relevant part numbers and instruction; I think he's planning to produce
them.

Wow great responses!
I wonder why Jon shows 2.5" longer
Are all lengths the same?
Ken are all year links the same? I have power level valves.
And Bruce is right ride height sensor geometry is the last thing I need to do on my electronic controller.
The link lengths are different from OEM but I want to verify my setup. I have some adjustable links around here somewhere, but who knows where they are or what length they are set to

Keith,
I'm positive about my OEM links' length at 5.0". Keith's 3.875"
adjustables have probably been reset either to change ride height or to
compensate for changing the arm position, as described in the manual. I
can't imagine where Jon's 7.5" came from unless he measured the arm rather
than the link.
I don't know whether there is any link difference over the years. I've
never had anyone return my links, saying they didn't fit. I just tried to
find them in the 78Z parts book. I found them in an IPB, but with no
reference number nor part number. I still think they're all the same.

Thanks Ken, thats what I will use.
Bruce, yes the design criteria is maximum resolution at ride height and full suspension travel.
The cosine error increases as you move away from ride height

Keith,
One of our more erudite GMCNetters steered me to the parts manual listing
for the link. There are two listings, prior to 6V100868 and effective with
that number -- both for the same part. So apparently the 5.0" link was
installed on all coaches.

Just got a new adjustable set from Dave today. Cheaper than I could buy and assemble similar quality parts from McMaster Carr. The original fixed links were 5" center to center.
