My 75 Glenbrook has a couple of compression fractures on the back corners where PO backed into a sign, surface is cracked thru gel coat but no hole is all the way thru but fibre is showing. On the roof are spots where surface is worn off any hints on where to get info on how to do repairs, will basic auto kits from Home Depot or auto parts store work or do we need something special due to age. Primarily concerned with sealing areas up to prevent more damage.

Yes Sir you need something special. Regular fiberglass resin won't stay long. You will need epoxy resin for Smc and some fiberglass fill cloth. All cracks need to be V 'd out then filled. Bondo for final glaze.
