I've had 3- 78 Royales. All had two A/C units. The latest one I totally gutted. I found that all 110 volt wiring was 12 gauge. Each roof vent had a 10 gauge wire ( 30 Amp ) for A/C units. I helped a friend add a second A/C to his Royale in his roof vent. The wire was there. Pull the inside roof vent trim out. There should be some wires tucked back between the foam insulation, and the ceiling plywood. Every one I've had. Was set up so that one A/C unit ran only from the generator. The other ( front I believe. And that was the higher BTU unit. Outside cover is higher ) . ran from shore power. In, or around your breaker panel. You should have a #10 wire not connected. On all my Royales. I made some simple modifications so I could operate both from either power source at the same time. Make certain that you keep your 30 Amp shore connections clean. As your at the upper limit. I added insulation to this 78 Royale. ( The Mouse House. ) Now, no matter the outside temps. The front A/C does the job.
