My RAMCO mirrors aren't working correctly, they each will only go down and
to the right (at least they are both consistent). If I change the wires on
the switch I can make them go up and to the left, but can't all 4
directions to work. I found this wiring diagram, but I have different
switches.

I have two of these type of switches:

Ethan,

This schematic, which I found by Google, shows the basic wiring information
you need to determine whether the motor(s) is bad:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3XquSIYjDleVHVaWEJiWWc1RlE/view?usp=sharing

While this schematic does not have the same color coding as your mirrors,
you can bet that the functional arrangement is the same. I'll bet that the
White, Yellow, and Black on your mirrors correspond to the Brown, Green,
and Red, respectively, on the schematic.

With that information you should be able to control the two motors by
applying Ground to the Yellow and move either of the motors by applying
+12VDC to White or Black, respectively. To reverse the motors, apply the
+12VDC to Yellow and Ground to either of the other wires.

It's unlikely that one motor in each mirror has failed, so you should be
able to operate them this way, and then concentrate on the switch.

If that doesn't work, you can either try other combinations as above.
Better yet, measure the resistances between the various wires. Two of the
3 possible pairs will show approximately the same low resistance, the third
will show the sum of the other two. Obviously the lead common to the two
similar pairs corresponds to the Green lead on the schematic.

Before rewiring with two switches, I'd consider lubricating the 4-way
switch with CRC 2-26 or similar contact cleaner -- and even disassembling
the switch CAREFULLY.

Since you know which mirror wires make them move in what direction, write that down. Then use a meter on continuity to figure out the switch. You should then be able to figure out. Sounds like you have the center and switched leads reversed so it only works on one side of the throw. If you have diagnosed simple 3 way switches in home wiring you will know what I mean.

Thanks guys, I'll try these things out. I did take one of them apart,
inside they looked good (luckily I did it on the floor so I didn't lose any
springs/pins). I did email Ramco about the wiring diagram, we'll see if I
get anything back.
