Now that you bought one. And lack an in depth knowledge of this long thing in the drive. So you hit the internet to find out what you did to yourself. There are several places. But this site is the place for the most in depth details of what, were , and how. And at times that too can be overwhelming. In the years that I've been involved. I've never heard a dumb question asked here. It's simple. There just aren't any that exist for these people. These people here are extremely respectful to all. You'll just want a simple answer to a simple question. You'll end up with 5 views. And that's great. Because now you can pick that one that meets your skill level, and wallet. I've had the question asked. What should I do? This too is simple to answer. First. Make the brakes safe no matter the cost. Second. Check the drivetrain to make sure you'll get back home. ( Never travel with out a GMCMI membership roster, and parts book. ) Third. Do what meets YOUR comfort zone. Not someone else's. My comfort zone is way off the chart. It has too with Linda in a wheelchair. Failure has never been an option. The 78 Royale that we have now has had absolutely everything new, or rebuilt. I did put the transmission from the burned 78 GMC in that has about 22,000 miles on it. And now I'm getting anal about that. So now I have a trans coming from Manny. (YES. I have a mental problem to deal with. ) But there's more to that story. We have a 73 GMC that I'm working on to sell. I'll put the 22'000 mile trans in the 73. Thus making that 73 more attractive to the prospective buyer. So in short. Do what puts you in YOUR COMFORT ZONE, and WALLET. And enjoy your family. In that GMC. On the roads of North America.
