Hey Guys...

Doing a bit of remodeling in my shop before winter hits...

I have the opportunity to put a dedicated RV Circuit in... Do I need a 50 Amp or can I get buy with a 30 Amp... At the moment my GMC only has one roof AC but I MAY eventually put two up there...

There is only a 60 AMP breaker serving to power the entire shop now BUT I plan to pull more power in next summer...

Thanks for your input..

Steve

Steve,

If you only have a single breaker feed, you cannot actually support 50amp. Given that, I would not bother. We can get along fine on a TT30, and most of the time we are happy with only 15.

You do know that a TT30 is not a NEMA standard, so be very careful if an electrician is involved.

less you plan on actually run both A/C's inside the shop, 30 amp will due you. Probably get by with standard outlet if you will just be charging the batteries.
