Had very loud exhaust noise, removed manifold and the gaskets were bad, manifold have been planed and appear to be ok. I would like your recommendations for-
Exhaust gasket and source
Manifold studs, nuts and washers and source and grades or type
Anti-seize compound type and if should use
Head prep
Nut torque and tighten sequence
Manifold to exhaust system gasket and bolts and source
Am also removing fuel line and have dropped the fuel tanks as there was a leak when parked laterally on a incline, most of the lines appear to be original and rotten.
Would like recommendations for replacement tees and sources as one is galvanized and one plastic and it appears one is 3/8-3/8-5/16 (selector-main tank-generator), and I can't remember what the one to the gas to vapor separator in the wheel well is.
Am thinking of adding a assit electric fuel pump prior to the tank selector which I believe is a Jim
Bounds modification. Would recommendation as to pump size, captivity, inlet-outlet size, brand, source, etc.
Also what is be best location, to wire and is a fuel filter recommended - type -sources.
It may not make sense to ask for sources but to get to a Home Depot or Lowes I have to go 60 miles and Internet service is only marginally above 56 K internet searches are slow, nearest town is 900 people, 3 miles away.
But I can't remember the last time there was a traffic jam within 60 miles and the only mono digital signal I get is a wave that says Hi when I drive to town and 45mph.
