Is the Suburban NT30SP a direct replacement for our original NT30M? Can't find any info as to what the "SP" stands for. I know the "M" stands for manual.

Finally was able to get ahold of somebody at Suburban and was told the "S" stands for stainless steel burner and the "P" for plastic blower wheel, Just in case somebody else ever wants to know. Also, as Jim said, that the SP is a direct replacement for the M. Emory is also correct. I thought I read that in the manual but in rereading it, it only states that the "MD" version was dual fuel but says nothing about what the "M" stands for.

Yes all the burners are SS as they hold up longer.

Fwiw a suburban sf-30 fit in the same place as the original solare furnace
in my 77 eleganza 2. Only had to cut a hole in the outer wall of the coach
as the sf30 is designed to be serviced and removable from the outside of
the coach. Also had to modify one cabinet interior shelf to allow duct
clearance as the solare sat flat on the floor while the suburban needed to
be propped up on the interior side so the the furnace me the curvature of
the body well ( this was necessary to have the new outer panel on the
outside of the coach fit and seal to the coach body). The solare required
removal of the kitchen cabinet and plumbing to remove. Sucky.
