Anyone have a link or source for a product to pin the headliner up at its joints? There is an aftermarket two piece system from a 90's remodel in my coach now but several of them are destroyed from water. Need to replace a couple sections of headliner but need to find a similar retainer system. System in coach now has a steel screw strip and a three sided decorative cover like a C channel (also steel) which snaps over screw strip. I am not aspiring for a perfect match to what is here but something of similar design. Your ideas/ experiences / advice welcomed.

Of course, Sully gets first crack at the units Emery has. But I am also interested in a source for these, as I am about to be replacing the headliner in mine.

Careful in removal will give you something to snap back in place. My job
for today(replacement) ! And as Emery said any 'parts' or 'salvage' GMC
will have them

If all you are trying to do is cover the gap, I used a 2 piece plastic trim from big box store. Took a slight modification, but works fine.
The black plastic piece, that needs to be attached to the ribs, has 4 ribs. You need to remove the outside ribs, leaving just the center two. The decorative cover will snap in and hold to the inner two ribs.

Was hoping to pin the ceiling panels similar to Oem, panels held with the
under strip which receives the decorative strip. What product from Home
Depot are you talking about specifically?

FWIW I did some internet searching and came across an ebay vendor called Babette's. If you google it or look it up on ebay she has a bunch of niche products including a trim system very similar to the oem with a few size / design options. Since the big box is right around the corner I will start there.

I was private messaged by a forum user who sent me info for a company that manufactures strips similar to the oem ones. I ordered and received enough to do the whole ceiling and some of the walls so Emery I will not need the oe ones you offered. I know someone else chimed in on this thread with interest in the oe ones Emery had so you are now first in line I believe. I will post once they are installed with a report on how they worked for me.

This looks nice and clean, any chance you have some photos prior to the cap being inserted into the retainer? I'm trying to visualize how the retainer works, does it hold the liner in place?
I will probably need to do a headliner replace and am looking for ideas, oem look as well as creative new options. Please forward photos or videos, all input is welcomed and appreciated.

I did go with the nudo trim. They have a few options which will work but
after talking with a rep decided the safest option for varying thickness of
panels was to use the surface mounted retainer vs a retainer which is
mounted under the trim panel. The rep stated that if the panels were
mounted too close to the retaining groove it may not allow proper retention
of the finisher. The other potential issue with the sandwich type approach
is that if the panels used are too thin the finisher may not sit flush and
if the panels are too thick the finisher may not snap in at all. Since I
will be using a variety of panel types I went with the surface mount
retainer which is very similar to the oe. The retainer for the finisher
mounts on top of the panels and then the finisher snaps into place and
covers the retainer and panel fasteners. For joints at varying panel
types/thickness a shim under the thinner panel should level the retainer

I have not finalized my panel choices let alone completed any installation
yet. I will update the photo site with pics once I have the headliner and
walls completed(hopefully by early November). I went back and forth between
different offerings to the extent that I cannot remember for certain the
part number I purchased. I will dig up the info and post back.
