First real shake-down trip. 5 days, Fresno -> Oakdale -> Stanford University Med Center -> New Brighton Beach State Park -> Big Sur -> Cayucos -> Casa De Fruita -> Home in Fresno. We stayed in a hospital parking lot, state campground, and private full service RV parks. So we got a taste of the different types of amenities.
695 miles and the only problems were from the "nut behind the wheel".
Big Sur State Campgrounds are still closed and being used as staging areas for the firefighters. Private RV/camps are open. We saw one area where the burn reached Hwy1.
I didn't keep track of gas mileage because half the time I had the generator driving the roof air. I know, I should have anyway... next time.
I developed a gas smell and I think it is at the fill area.
The "Hot" water heater was scalding hot from the coolant lines. In fact, the cold water supply was also super heated. Any suggestions for a reason is appreciated before I start tearing things apart.
There are things to do yet. (Isn't there always) But, we're happy campers.

You need the reverse flow valve .

For the gas smell, take a look at your filler neck. Does the filler neck
have either RTV or a rubber gasket to prevent overfill gas from seeping
down the outside of the filler tube.

Sounds like a overall successfull trip.
I didn't read anything about engine overheating or excessive heat at the rims. That's good!

As far as I'm concerned at idle with a warm engine if you get 1/4 on the gauge that is good. Digi panels are great, I don't think they are made anymore. If they are, please let me know.
Get an inferred temp gun and hit your rims when you stop for gas. When I hit mine they are usually 30*f warmer than outside air temp.
All in all, sounds like you have a good coach!

The website is still up but the gmcmotorhome.info, Digi-Panel link and email are bad. http://www.digi-panel.com/ works and he now has a gmail email address: digidevicesinc @ gmail I sent an email so I'll let you know.
Digital Devices is still building, but trying to ramp down. If you want one, you better get in line while they still have boards and parts inventory. Art may quit any day now.
