I am going to install a new sink. The sink requires cutting more material from the countertop. Has anyone removed a countertop and can comment on how it was attached to the cabinet? Screw and cleats? Nails? Pegs and glue? This information will help me figure out a plan of attack. The countertop is not going to be removed, just an additional cutout. Sink is from Ikea, should end up with one deep large basin and one smaller sized basin, plus a stainless countertop covered area for whatever. The sink basins fit, just need to do a relief cutout for the extended stainless area.
Any interest in photos of this short journey?
