Rob,

With all of those parts replacements, you'll soon be another "six million
dollar man"!!! (I liked that television program!).

'Best wishes for a quick return to full power...

'Hope to see you at Shawnee, OK in March.

'Regards,

Fred

Ken,

Last April (2015) I had my left knee replaced and it works great! Anyone
that is suffering I suggest you have it done with one
caveat; ask around in your area to find the surgeon with the "best" results.

My right hip began playing up just before I flew over to the USA this March.
I went to the sports medicine clinic down the road from
me and spoke with an Osteopath there. After an X-ray and MRI he felt it was
inflammation of the joint and prescribed a cortisone
shot and anti-inflammation tablets. After receiving the shot and taking the
tablets for a few days I seemed to be on the mend so I
decided to make the trip March - August; unfortunately over that period the
hip got progressively worse.

The right hip was replaced last Saturday (9/3), I was moved to the re-hab
hospital on Thursday (9/8); and will be here until Sunday
(9/18).

Things are going OK but I am suffering from much more pain than the knee
which is affecting my ability to do the physio! Hopefully I
will come good and am fit enough to be sent home on Sunday.

Regards,
Rob M.

Rob,
I'm sure the pain will be temporary and once healed, you'll be better than
normal.
Keep up your spirit.

Went through with a THR on my L hip after years of pain and injections.
Surgery went well and am getting around great. Cant run, but shouldnt anyway to avoid problems with my right.
My platelets tried to kill me a couple of times though. Post op I had 2 DVTs and 4 pulmonary embolisms. Lost part of a lung.

Chris,

My hats off to you, there is NO WAY I could have put up with the pain my right hip was causing, I even considered cutting my US
visit short but my surgeon moved my date up as far as he could (mid October to 3 September) so it would not have done any good.

Regards,
Rob M.
