There are several monitors.
The ones that mount inside the rim/tire can be the simplest, however,
should the battery run down or when the wheel is rotated, it does create
confusion.
The ones we have seen at RV Parts show are those that mount on the Valve
stem, no it is so light that it will not affect the balance and yes they
require a special tool to remove, so no loss.
I have found that having these on the Toad has been very beneficial as it
is difficult to feel the low tire there.

I like Jimk's idea. I tore up a wheel on the ratrod toad before someone honked and pointed.
My new used coach has a system, but the maker says they no longer sell or support RV systems (They still do large trucks) and refuses to supply any information about the system. The sensors - inside the rim - are getting flay because the batteries are dying. PO thought he might have one off an old rim but couldn't find it. So when I replace the fronts this winter, I'll see if I can put new batteries in the sensors.
