All the presentation materials will be available on the GMCWS web site right after the event. I don’t know if anyone will record and post video or not at this point but the presentation materials will be comprehensive enough that I think you will easily be able to follow along. The design is completed for the dual fuel part of the kit, but the right injector for our old Onans is not yet finalized. That is what the conversion company is working on right now.

Jack C. asked about high pressure or low pressure feed for the Onan. Turns out you can use either as there are demand regulators already available for both high and low pressure propane. High pressure is what comes out of the tank before the regulator and low pressure is what comes out after the regulator. The low pressure vapor coming out of your existing tank mounted regulator appears to have plenty of capacity but that is still subject to testing with the selected injector to confirm. Our old Onan carb is quite different from many of the current gas generators so it is less than a slam dunk to get that part right and still allow the Onan to run on either crap gas or propane by simply flipping a switch. Another major design requirement is that the system be self priming so you can select the fuel of choice and start the Onan hot or cold from inside the coach. I also want positive gas and propane shut off from the inside as well. I don’t know about you, but the last thing I want to do when I need my generator is to have to go outside to do anything.

I don’t yet have a good handle on pricing, but it will not be painful and likely less than most would guess. At this stage it is a work in process.

Very interesting. Two questions for you Jerry:

1.) For those of us unable make it to the GMCWS Rally, any chance this will be video taped?

2.) Do you have an anticipated time table for the kit?
