My '78 Eleganza had the same wander steer, bad. There was probably 3" of slop at the steering wheel, so correcting was a constant effort.

Dave Lenzi took at look at the Dothan rally and he and I tightened up the bottom end of the box. Even though he pointed out ball joint and drag link problems, that tightening made an enormous difference. Like I was driving a different coach back home.

Steve may be right and certainly knows much more than I, but you may want to consider investigating the adjusts to what you already have. Alex Farrara is another great resource for front end problems and surely there are others who know these coaches.

When I correct the steering at 50 mph I have to wait and see if it is coming back to the center of lane or not yet or too much correction . I can not drive it. Yes. I have hydro wipers... What exactly are you talking about with the htdro wiper and how they affect steering...thanks...Brian 1977 GMC motorhome

Thank you for chasing this down and sharing. Very helpful.

It's particularly disturbing that the policy is driven by the privileged few rather than by the membership who is the reason they have a board. Sounds like if board members all had new coaches, they'd turn their heads and the issue would remain?? I certainly hope not.

Great, great idea!
