After more years than I care to admit I finally got my coach on the road. Much thanks to all the GMC'ers who have contributed to the knowledge base that is the forum. It's been a huge help to say the least.

As expected the 3" exhaust system is transmitting a lot of engine vibration to the living area. Recently I say a pic on the photosite where someone had installed flex couplings in the Y-pipe of a rear muffler system. Now I can't seem to find that pic. Anyone know where it is?

Thanks,
JP

That was in a recent post by Loffen. Espen was replying to a post by someone else and I forget the original post topic, but if I find it I will reply with it unless someone else beats me to it. It was in the last 2 weeks on the forum...

Darn, I back-ordered some (JEX-FLX2508N) from Summit. About the same price as ebay but now have to wait 2 weeks. The FLX2508N has SS flex braid with aluminized steel connector pipe. Should be easier to weld in.

Looks great!
There are many flex connectors available on eBay at good prices.
I am going to order 2 of them for my GMC exhaust.

Sexy, does it actually fit the GMC?
I looked long and hard for a high torque starter a few years ago to no avail

Loffen,

Have you engaged that starter yet? It's similar to the IMI starter and some folks have had alignment and flex plate interference problems with them.

Maybe it's just a generic picture or a reversed image but the starters on Ebay appear to have the electrical connectors on the opposite side.

Nice welding job on those flex pipes. My welding requires a whole lot of grinding afterwards.

Not happy about the welding.. but thanks, the problem welding outside is that the gas blows away, not good, oh well it should not be leaking exhaust so it is good enough.
Yes I did test the starter once, seams to be fine. look at the last picture in the auction, there it is right, and that is the same auction where I bought mine, it has ended now but I am pretty sure the seller has more of them
