Despite my horrible and costly day yesterday, the coach is back on the road. The power lead to the fuel pump had a cracked terminal lug which finally broke. When we traced back the wires and found the relay, it had signs of overheating. A bench check of the pump with a soldered lug showed low output. A new pump from summit and a replacement relay later and she has 45lbs of fuel pressure and is purring like a kitten once again. I just pulled in to an RV park south of Montgomery, AL. It is 3 hrs to home but at 11 pm I am done. I have spoken with the Coop and will bring her to Orlando on Friday to get her in line to fix the accident damage, get some new shoes, and possibly a new paint job. Thanks everyone for the tips and info. The towing guide really helped out as I had to show two tow truck drivers how to hook her up. Now I have to get my info on the Blacklist so I can pay it forward.

JD,

Congratulations!

Wish you'd come down the E. side of the Chattahoochee and stopped here
instead of Montgomery, but I understand your routing.

If I wasn't running mostly at night I would have went that way Ken. I will be contacting you for your wiper kit because one of my first discoveries is that the hydraulic wipers suck! We love the coach, despite the adversity this trip has thrown at us. I also will be breaking out my label maker!

All's well that ends well. Navarre Beach lost its glow when the Green Knight burned down Smile I grew up just N of Montgomery, Long weekends often meant five or six couples on scoots headed for the Redneck Riviera. Hope the bruises and achies have subsided.
Incidentally, if bounds is done with it by the first part of December, consider joining us at Lake Louisa State Park 12 - 19 DEC.

Thanks Johnny. Hopefully we can make it. We would love to go to a rally. One of our primary uses for the GMC is hauling our bikes ( Victory Vision and an HD street glide trike) to great place to ride. Any time ya'll want to come to the coast I am a mile from the beach and have a 50 amp hookup Smile

Thanks for the invite, we've friends all along the coast there from P'cola down past Apalachicola. The December get together is an informal no host no plans rally which started a few years ago because I run down to The Mouse for the big AKC show and Meet The Breed. Normally different folks cook supper, we hit strange restaurants, spend a day harassing Bounds and company, spend money at Skycraft, some patronize the big Ikea store, etc. Basically relax for a few days. Since the campground at Wekiwa Springs is closed this year, we're doing Lake Louisa over in Clermont.
