Does anyone have the dimensions or correct layout for installing this gen set? I see photos but nothing to say this is the original plate cut down or what have you.

PM me your email address and I will forward the one Tom Phipps sent me that prints out in 12 pages. You should be able to cut it on the margins and tape it together and you got a template. The dimensions are on/in it.

FWIW, I posted a couple of JPG versions of the template on the photo site. In case that is better for someone than the PDF on Bdub's site.

Is the template the same for a 6010 I have a propane fueled unit I need to install after I convert it back to gas

The templates for the ev4010 and the ev6010 have enough differences that make them non interchangible. Get the right one, dummy it in cheap material (foam) and see how it fits inside the genset compartment. Remember that Honda recommends nothing to be placed in front of the cooling fan.
I was able to place mine about an inch further from the back and an inch further from the left side for additional air flow. Honda airflow is directed across the genset and exhausts out the bottom of the genset.
