My 77 Kingsley 26' has that cute little red? pump that says GMC on the front. Since I have plenty of time, I might rebuild it. Should I choose to do that, where and at what cost can I get a kit for rebuilding. I may also purchase a new pump. If so, what's available and at what cost?
Thanks
Jim Scheibe

Applied has rebuilt Dana pumps, rebuild kits. and the special tool(s) needed.

I think some folks are swapping them out for Viair compressors which Jim and a few others also sell.

Jim,

you should come up to St. Cloud this weekend and say Hello.

as for your pump, keep it original, there are kits out there. Applied has them for sure, and possibly others.

most people end up replacing the pump, I am happy I did: http://www.thegmcrv.com/product/viair-380c-air-compressor

The key is the 100% duty cycle, and I would buy the biggest you want, bigger should help raising the coach a little faster, I personally think you can never have enough air pressure/volume.

again, about an hour northwest of you this weekend, we should have a nice gathering of coaches in St. Cloud, MN.

I like "The little pump that could ...I think I can ..I think I can" Haha. May not even need rebuilding but probably a good idea. I took mine all apart and found one of the little allen bolts that hold the cog/piston on had unscrewed itself. Did a little cleaning put back together and it makes 120 psi no problem. Also added tee and quick disconnect for air hose to fill tires, camp mats etc. KEEP IT !
