So, now that I can't get the image of the airbag blowing at any time (and I'll never scoot under it again without support), should I have one of those metal jobbies that replaces the bag if it blows? What are they called and where do I get one?

Those airbags are three layers. The inside layer looks like a truck inner
tube and has the inlet fitting vulcanized into it. That is surrounded by a
very robust rubberized fabric. The third and outermost layer is an ozone
treated rubber, probably synthetic at least in part. Triple ply
construction. Manufactured by Firestone Rubber Company back in the day when
USA meant something good. A similar bag is used to suspend the buildings
inside of Cheyenne Mountain Norad command center. Designed to survive a
Russian nuclear attack. Not saying that they will never fail, just that the
possibility of one failing on an ordinary day when you just happen to be
under your coach is about the same as you being struck by lightning on a
clear day, or winning the megabucks lottery. But, a wise and prudent
person still should not crawl under ANY VEHICLE without first supporting it
to prevent that " bolt out of the blue" possibility. Air bags or leaf
springs, no difference. Preferably a level concrete surface with rigid
jackstands rated for twice what your coach weighs. On the road, carry a
jack hook for the bogies and a spare air bag. You might carry it around for
as long as you own your coach. I have been, since September, 2006. I
haven't needed it......yet.

Thank you all, I have one of those weird hooks for jacking up the rear. I'll look into spare bag and the other options. I realize it's like being hit by lightening- but people do win the lottery. I don't play so I can't win.
dumb question number 83, where do I get a new air bag?

The invoice for 10K worth of work on my coach from the PO at Cinnabar lists:
QTY
1 Air Spring Assembly $400
and then misc valves/elbows/nipples/schrader valve. Labor at 3 hours
So i have one new airbag from Cinnabar? or is the assembly something else?
And I have a 6 wheel alignment. Go me!

If the one you have, and the one you buy from Jim K, last as long as the OEM bags, that would get you about 30 or 40 years of service.
The other single bag replacement is the MarkBag. I believe there are two versions, the one Jim K sells and the SullyBilt.

Jim Bounds says with the quadbag, if a rear tire blows or rear bearing fails, that you can slowly drive a short distance to a safer place to work on it, but that is really stressing the remaining tire, its swing arm, its spindle/bearings, and the airbag bracket.
