[GMCnet] Getting rid of mildew, mold and other green junk [message #302939]

New battery, engine running, friend coming next week to make sure the
obvious things are in working order!

What I need to know now is, what can I use to clean the outside of the
coach without doing damage to the exterior finish. It is not original paint
if that matters, nice quality job on the repaint (around 2005). It's been
parked outside in Washington state on a tree covered lot. Time for some
TLC! Do I just pressure wash it, or is there some product that will help
get it clean but not hurt anything?

I appreciate any advice on the subject! If it's better to just apply elbow
grease that's fine, but no use working that hard if I don't have to;)

Water,soap and some bleach.
With a long handle scrub brush.
Same as up here.

Simple Green does wonders on cleaning those sort of things.. And there's nice symmetry to cleaning "Green Junk" with "Green Junk" Wink

Also, for stubborn stuff like sap, I've had good luck with 3M Adhesive Remover. Keep it off of plastics and rubber if you can as it's strong stuff... Only safe on paint. Usually put some on a rag and rub it in that way.

This season, I used "30 Seconds Cleaner" and was AMAZED at how well it worked for PNW roof growth. The job was never easier: spray it on, wait a bit and rinse it off. Some stubborn areas required reapplication and a little elbow grease. I made sure I kept it wet and rinsed it well.

It was incredible compared to everything else I've used in the past. I ended up using it on our home deck and railing as well.

Friends in Tennessee used bleach water to clean a whole house exterior w mildew. Worked great.
