Anyone care to comment on the wisdom or stupidity of owning a parts coach?

I have discovered two coaches about 15 miles from me. One is a 1974, and one is 1975. I believe the 74 may be a Glacier, and am pretty sure the 75 is a Palm Beach. They are both complete basket cases. The tires and airbags are all blown. The 75 back glass is busted out. Other than that they appear complete. Very Happy The '75 had license plates that expired 2008. The '73 had no plates at all.

I have enough space in my back yard that I could store one or both of these, but not sure I want to.

I suspect it would take somewhere between $1000-$3000 just to get wheels/tires/airbags to the point where it could be safely towed (and that is just for one of them). Knowing nothing about the steering or brakes, and considering they are this close to me, I really have no desire to try to drive one home; so add a tow bill.

Try to save, or let die? What say you?

I have already passed the TZE numbers to John Shotwell, who has informed me that neither were previously listed in the database.
