My son, who uses our GMC for a week each July told me last night that it seems to him that while the overhead AC seems to cool properly but as the week goes on it’s ability to remove moisture diminishes. He says that he can see water is running across the roof into the drip rail.
He asked if I had any ideas. Hopefully, folks on here will be able to help.

Put a thermometer in the outlet and monitor the temp. Condensate running across the roof is good!

While the grill and filter is out per Emery above, make sure that the thermostatic bulb sensor is still clipped in the plastic retainers in the air stream. If it is touching the cold evaporator the unit will think the room air is cooled and shut off prematurely.

My second gen Dometic / Duotherm units had a very thick air filter pad that
was white and pink material bonded material.
I was't able to find these, but I did find that a 20x25 blue fiber
cardboard edged house furnace filter could be cut in half and then folded
over - and fits perfectly. This is a low cost, always available replacement
filter. It's not a HEPA filter, but it keeps the evaporator coils clean.

Lot of the time under high humidity, the evap coil tends to freeze up.
I turn it to warmer position for 10 minutes and let it defrost.
One can pull the filter down and see the evac coil with ice.
