I have been searching everywhere online , as well as locally , to find a circuit board for a 1978 GMC Midas Vandura G35 with zero luck. The GM dealer had no luck either.
I was royally screwed over on this vehicle, and after attempting to get a refund, and being told no, I decided to go ahead and fix her up. I've put many, many hours into her motor and into salvaging the living area components ( it was riddled with rot and black mold and had to be totally gutted)
I am now trying to fix the gauges and I'm very short on funds ( meaning I cannot afford to buy a new cluster and wiring for $300) the circuit board copper appears to be intact, but it is very tarnished in spots. I've never soldered anything in my life and I'm unsure if I could or should attempt to seperate the plastic ( that has already come apart across the bottom anyway) ... So... My question to all of you... Can anyone give me ANY advice??? Is there any way to safely repair the board or does anyone have any suggestions as to where I may be able to find one??
The part number reads - 25016565 PED-1
