I have been searching everywhere online , as well as locally , to find a circuit board for a 1978 GMC Midas Vandura G35 with zero luck. The GM dealer had no luck either.
I was royally screwed over on this vehicle, and after attempting to get a refund, and being told no, I decided to go ahead and fix her up. I've put many, many hours into her motor and into salvaging the living area components ( it was riddled with rot and black mold and had to be totally gutted)
I am now trying to fix the gauges and I'm very short on funds ( meaning I cannot afford to buy a new cluster and wiring for $300) the circuit board copper appears to be intact, but it is very tarnished in spots. I've never soldered anything in my life and I'm unsure if I could or should attempt to seperate the plastic ( that has already come apart across the bottom anyway) ... So... My question to all of you... Can anyone give me ANY advice??? Is there any way to safely repair the board or does anyone have any suggestions as to where I may be able to find one??

Well, You have a different GMC motorhome than most of us on here. We are talking about front wheel drive Class A GMC motorhomes. But you asked a question so my thoughts are this.
Do you know for certain the wiring is good. or that the cluster is bad? Did you meter the wires to determine if you had power? Hate to take out a cluster if its a bad ground or damaged wire causing the issue. Is the entire gauge not working or only certain parts?
If you know for certain the gauge cluster is bad, Id find out what other Chevy or GMC gauge clusters are the cross reference for years and models? The dealer might know. Then start looking at local Junk Yards for a possible donor. Perhaps GM ran those in a number of trucks/vans, up until 19?? and it could be easier to find one.
Good Luck.

Ness, every run on that circuit has two ends, and they're accessible either in a plug or on an instrument. Take an ohmmeter and check for continuity on each one (0 ohms). Any that don't, simply run a wire between the connect points.
Hopwever, as someone said, it's probably common to a BUNCH of both GMC and Chev vans for a number of years. Hit the junkyards and go looking. Anything with A similar cluster ought to work. Cut the wires going to the plug(s) a few inches away from the plug, so that of you find differences in the plugs, you can convert with some crimp on splices.
It's a simple job, but a PIA to get it done... best case is find one like it.

Continuity testing is done out of the van. Rather than bother the dealer, hit the local junkyard and ask for cross references. They have better information on what works where than the dealer. Tarnish doesn't hurt a thing, unless it has eaten through the copper. at that point you need a replacement or a piece of wire.
As long as the speedo works, you don't need a gas guage. You can get a temp and oil pressure and volts set from AutoZone or Orielly's for cheap, and forget the original ones if price is a problem.
Incidentally, where are you located? The forum lists your name in the location line,.

According to this link that is a one year only board for a 78 GMC G model or Chevy CK model, both with rally gauges. Best bet would be to check junkyards for those vehicles.
