I'm looking at a 78 Kingsley for purchase and it has an odd problem on the body. On the driver's side, above the belt line, very close to the fresh water fill port, the upper panel is pulling away from the rear cap right at the vertical seam. There doesn't appear to be any other damage as if something external pulled at the seam and created the gap.
Has anyone else ever seem this type of issue? Does it seem expensive to fix? I wish I had pictures to show. Hopefully from my description you can get an idea of the defect.
Thanks in advance!

Jerry,
Can the panel be pushed in with your hand? The front (cockpit), rear cap and the lower body below (BL = beltline) is SMC (sheet molding compound),
the body above BL is Alum. The side alum and SMC are bonded to the inside alum ribs.
Without pictures or seeing the damaged area is hard to say. If the panel is unglued from the rib, I feel it could be re bonded, the inside would need to be opened
to see if the rib is damaged.
Check the member help list and had them look at it. Or look for another coach.
Good luck.

That's the funny thing is it's in the aluminum section. It cannot be pushed in. If there is a rib there that is common to the seam between the rear cap and the aluminum skin then it is disbonded in this area and has a good sized bulge.
My last coach didn't have any disband issues, but does this happen every once and a while, or is this an indicator of bad things? If I can get a picture tomorrow I will try and post it.
Thanks for your help in advance!
