I have used battery Maintainers/Charger for a number of years both on the coach and keeping batteries charges in vehicles that set for 4 or 5 months or longer.

I have one of these mounted right on the firewall above the chassis battery. Our coach is always plugged in when parked at home and the battery is always ready to go. I have added a solar panel to keep the battery up in AZ as the storage lot at the park does not have any power.

Works very well for long term storage (4 to 5 months) on vehicles at the house that set when we are in AZ. All start right up, before they would run the battery down if some sort of charger/maintainer was not used. Use them on my golf cart that sits in storage in AZ too. I set the 36 volt system so that it is divides up into 3 12VDC zones.
