For those who watched the installation of my Frank Jenkins' fan shroud, new 10 blade fan, etc at Bean Station. I has previously added side air dams.
On the entire trip home (550miles), the OEM water temp gauge reached the 1/4 mark, and the needle stayed there, as if it had been painted in place. This included climbing the minor steep hill into Nocculala Falls at Gadsden, Al. Never heard the fan engage.
In spite of third hand warnings, I neither drilled holes in the metal base of the new fan, nor did I install any type of spacer. One owner, whose opinion that I value, said he installed the new fan exactly the same manner that I did without any cooling problems. His install has many more miles of usage than mine.
I did not know if the NAPA water temp sensor is installed in this coach. Your mileage may vary.
