Several months ago we switched from Dish Network to Direct TV. We used to be able to take one of the Dish control boxes from the house and use them with our Winegard crank up dish on the roof of the coach. The new Direct TV DVR system is different. It has a DVR unit in the living room and a small unit in the bedroom. Am I right that the bedroom unit works in conjunction with the main unit in the living room and will not receive a signal on it's own? Or can I take the small unit with us to use with the crank up dish? It sure would be handy. I guess I could take it out to the coach and try it. but I thought I'd save myself the trouble and ask here first.
