I was looking at tires and I saw these Antares tires on the Walmart site. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Antares-Comfort-A5-LT225-75-16-120-R-Tires/49651436 for $75.
Seems like a good spec, but cheap tires are sometimes just that, cheap tires. However, I have had tires cost more than twice as much, and supposedly US made, perform badly. Tread separations, bulges etc. My tires age out before wearing out so tread warranty is not all that important.

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has any experience with them on any of their vehicles. Thanks...

That's kind of what I thought but they do say LT with a 120 load range.

Conflicting info at the site. Says LT225/75R16. LT means LIGHT TRUCK, not passenger car, but tire type says "P". Also says load index of 120, but the review says actually 116. That translates to a load of 2756 pounds. Load index of 120 is 3086 pounds ( http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoLoadIndex.do ). The chart at http://gmcmotorhome.info/tires.html#PSI says 80 PSI is the top end of LRE tires, and that corresponds to 2680 pounds of load, so these cheap tires are rated for 76 pounds more load than LRE tires at 80 PSI.

Other sites call them Light Truck tires and Load Range E (10 ply).

Having said all that, I'd be afraid to make my GMC the guinea pig to test on...

Look at Wal-Mart's Dextero LT 225 tire. They are on my coach and do everything that I expect a tire to do. I buy from Wal-Mart, because they have never tried to stiff me on a tire or battery problem. 3500 Wal-Mart's, plenty of help. They did not mount the tires on the vehicle for me, I had to remove each rim and take it to Wal-Mart. Not a big deal.

What load range are you using? I see them from 102 to 112. I think 106 is a D rating and 112 is E. I think.
