G'day,

After the driver's window in my Tribute was smashed and my Garmin Nuvi stolen I bought a Garmin Nuvi Cam and I love it. I would like
to turn Helen's iPad Air into the same thing.

Anybody out there done it?

If yes what app did you use?

Also what mounting system did you use?

Regards,
Rob M.

Morning rob

I am using the Ipad air with TomTom. Wich works well in Europe dont know about usa or aus
I bought a cheap holder that I mounted in the holes in the dash that were meant for a small table? That means the ipad is to the right of the dash tilted in the drivers direction. I can mail you a picture.
I am very happy with this setup as I cannot read a small gps without glasses and I can not drive withe the glasses on. The ipad with TomTom i can read without problems

Regards

Peer,

Since the iPad Air has a built in camera I would like it to function like my Nuvi Cam which is a GPS and a dash cam.

A small tid-bit: On my Windows Phone I am not able to have two
applications connect to the GPS system in parallel. I have no idea, if
that would work in iOS world, nor do I know capable the old iPad Air is
when it comes to running stuff in the background.

Appie,

I was planning on installing it just to the right of the instrument panel, it won't block much - I THINK!
