So are the governors we use ONLY from the 1970's TH425 trannies? Or was
the same governor used on other vehicles/trannies (eg TH400 or TH325 or ??)?

Just curious as there aren't any 1970's eldorados or toronados at the
local junkyards currently, and that problem is only going to get worse.
