Years ago I used to have a side job assembling integrated circuit boards by
installing wire harnesses and chips as well as other components to them.
Techtronics was the owner of the boards. I did not know what the final use
was. They provided a yes/no test fixture that we plugged the harness into
and ran a series of tests. All the components were soldered by hand and
then clipped and cleaned. Fine work under 10 power magnification. Fussy
client. Time constraints dictated that one work efficiently. I know what
you mean by "keeping your head and hand into the game". I have been out of
my shop since December, and Wednesday I picked up my wire feeder and
welded some torsion bar tools. Not the prettiest job I have ever done,
little rusty, am I.
