The 6010 manual says it has a 1amp dc charging circuit that charges the starting battery. It says that if you have another charging system charging the battery that you need to install an isolator. Is an expensive isolator really required to protect the generator. If so what size, make, where installed, have been used and is there some other special wiring required.
