Okay everyone it's been about a year since I started this endeavor, and the one thing I have learned is that most everything for RV renovation (GMC or otherwise) is crazy expensive.
I look around for the absolute best deal that I can find when buying products (for any project). Over the years this has made me quite good at finding deals, and finding alternate suppliers for products that are overpriced.
So I bought the domain theGMCRV a while ago with the intention of starting an online store geared toward renovation/modifying the GMC.
Over the next few weeks I'll be putting products up at the very best price you can get them anywhere.
We won't have the biggest selection, or a store loaded to the gills with the latest RV gizmos, but a store where everything is priced at the best price available.
All products will be quality and tested by me personally.
Shipping will be free.
To start with we're stocking the LED lights that I sourced a while back. I'll be placing another order next week and will try to keep them in stock and ready to ship.
I am also a dealer for FiTech fuel injection. Best prices anywhere guaranteed (can't advertise them) but I can save you a few bucks over the big guys.
I'm negotiating with several other companies for pricing that's better than what's out there. So over the next few weeks I'll be slowly adding things that I think will be beneficial to anyone working on or restoring a motorhome. (spray foam, solar products, compressors, sinks countertops to name a few)
If you guys have anything that you think would be a good fit for us, let me know and I'll look into stocking it.

Justin,
not to be an a**hole, but when I first read about your endeavour I
thought: 'hmm, wonder how good one can support people, by selling on
price, compared to the existing Jims and others' - that thought popped
up again in my head. Do we really want to create a price war, which in
the end, would only harm the community because we would loose dealers
that support us not only by selling stuff but by supporting stuff?

I have to admit, I'm willing to price shop things that aren't GMC specific or mechanical. But anything that falls under those two categories I'm going to go to our suppliers. I'll pay more for my headers to make sure I get the right ones and the advice to put them on. Same thing with brake conversions, front or rear suspension parts, and more. House water pump, a/c, refrigerator, fuse boxes or the hot water heater? That's what Amazon is for. I really have no desire to see someone undercutting our community suppliers on GMC parts, but if you think you can get the cheapest LED light conversions, I'm all for it.
Either way, good luck and I hope it works out for you.
Thanks,

I'm not trying to undercut anyone, and I agree the GMC suppliers should be supported whenever possible.
I'm really out to supply things that are not necessarily GMC specific, but are good for use on our coaches, mostly remodel specific things not GMC specific parts if that makes sense.
The Thorleys in particular were just a thought, because I spoke with them the other day about getting a set and they said "we are very close to discontinuing these sets".
There is a lot of knowledge out there and a lot of GMC specific parts. I don't want to disrupt this at all.
I don't have any desire to become a GMC parts warehouse.
I simply want to supply good deals to good people on stuff that it isn't easy to get a good deal on normally.
If you want to buy stuff from me great, if you don't it's no skin off my back. This is not an income generator for me, if I can pay for some gas in the GMC great, if not then I'm not particularly worried about it.
I think I've got a good bit to bring to the table here. I think my coach will speak for itself when I'm done with it, and it will be built with parts that are not your ordinary GMC parts.
You won't find replacement parts in my store. It will be new interesting stuff that will make your coach better in some way. LED lighting, Fuel Injection, Battery Combiners, Solar systems etc.

Brian,
I completely redid mine with a Viair setup with a 2.5 gallon tank and it works much much better than the stock setup.
Added bonus I can air up tires and run air tools on the side of the road if necessary.

Justin,
I need to take the time and go through mine, just haven't had the time yet. Only one side will air up the other you have to fill at the bag and both bags are looking kind of rough ! so I need to look into replacing them, but not sure how I want to go about that yet ! I really like the ride and the set up with the original system so would like to keep it that way as much as possible.

Brian, the stock system is pretty simple, the hardest part is figuring out the wiring harness but it's all in the manual.
Check the pressure switch, when I pulled mine the switch was so fragile the wires broke the connectors off. I switched to solid state.
New air lines are cheap insurance, and there are a few factory style replacement bags available.

I just added Victron Energy products to the site.
Awesome stuff from the Netherlands, really popular overseas just making it's mark here.
Prices are really good and performance is great. I have a lot of airstream buddies running their systems for solar.
I just personally put their battery monitor in (see my thread).
Can't beat the price either.
If you guys have any request for stuff from them let me know, I can get all of it.

Thanks for the orders so far guys!
I met with the folks at Touch-N-Seal today and should be set up with some really good prices on spray foam kits here shortly. I'll have them up on the site when it's all finalized!
