I maybe going against the flow a bit here. When we started out with our rebuild of our 23 footer we had a good hard look at how we intended to live in the creature. Carting around a large frig full of food was not on the list.

Looking at those that go off sailing across the oceans with very little refrigeration it became apparent that our North American lifestyle with large washing machines, stoves, dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators etc was rather wasteful.

So a hard look was made of our electrical needs and to balance the use with the ability to make and store enough for a few days at a time (without running a generator) For refrigeration a small 12 volt marine refrigerator (about 4 c.f.) was the answer. To supplement we have a Dometic portable 12 volt refrigerator/freezer, this works extremely well and sits between the two front seats.

Just my thoughts.
