If you are traveling on I-10 to Dothan, fill up in Mississippi before you get to Alabama. Otherwise, cheapest gas in the Alabama portion of the trip is exit 4, just across the MS-AL line. Cheapest gas in FL is exit 142, on North side of road is Pilot, and South side is TA. This has continually been the cheapest spot along I-10, (in Florida).
Gas is cheapest in Dothan, once you get there.
Gas Buddy is your friend.
6 days to go.

And if like me you use no alcohol gas, there's a station in Dothan on the main drag which has all three grades sans alcohol.

Pure gas is available in "downtown" Spanish Fort. Price is very unreasonable, by any calculation based on BTU's, etc.

How much is a wasted day and a tow service worth compared to a few dollars
worth of gasoline ? I really HATE poor performance due to vapor lock. Just
me, your preferences may vary.

Coming from the east on I-10, the Busy Bee gas plaza at Live Oak, FL has non-alcohol. Just off the ramp at Hwy US-129. No idea of the price. The place is like the Starbucks of gas plazas. Makes new Wawas look low-rent by comparison.

FWIW the last few times I have checked there was 0 ethanol in the regular gas that "may contain up to 10% ethanol" stated on the pump.
