In Maryland, they will hold up your registration and fine you if you do not
pay any ticket, including in the mail photo speeding tickets. Here, "school
zone"s often have speed cameras, and they don't give much notice of the
speed limit change, you have to be looking for the signs. I got one a
couple of months ago, driving to work in an area where I had never been.
It was dark, and by the time I realized the speed change, I saw the camera
flash behind me, and I knew I was had. But, now that you all have made
me aware of this, should I ever get one again, I will call the official
government office to make sure it is legitimate....
