My kids want their kids in seatbelts, even in the lounge area. Can't blame 'em. I've ordered a couple to experiment with. Probably in the Eleganza, maybe using a Grand Caravan lock-down track or somesuch. We'll see.

We have seat belts all over the Bluebird, but I don't think those strapped into sideways facing seats (sofas, etc) would be protected. Passengers in those seats would likely have their spine snapped sideways. I have a short trip (150 mile) with the WMWGS (world's most wonderful grandson). He's three and in his mother's car sits in the back seat with a front facing carseat that is teathered to a strap that is bolted into the floor. Right now I'm thinking the passenger seat with an auxiliary anchor strap would be the safest. I know that is the "suicide" seat, but can't come up with anything better. Good luck.

I wanted narrow, arm-less seats for this. I want to chuck the removable bench seats in the Sprinter, which give me a hernia to move, and have a set of lighter temp seats for occasional rear passengers. I'm hoping I can conjure up a way to make the work as a forward-facing 3-seat 'bench' or 2-1 triangle arrangement. I have several types of quick-release lock-down rails to use, from either Grand Caravans or Sprinter donors. It's a crap-shoot, for sure. Like I said, we'll see.
