In less than eight hours I've received input on towing coverage from Billy Massey, Ken Henderson, RC Jordan, James Hupy and a write-up on the subject from Rob Mueller. All of it, since I asked for input just this morning. Amazing! I doubt if there is a motor group anywhere more timely and helpful with their fellow members.
Thanks, gentlemen. Now I need to digest your input and make a decision.

Progressive towing...
We have the GMC motorhome insured with Progressive. Before signing up with another company for towing insurance I wanted to look into Progressive's towing and roadside assistance plan. Our local agent set up a conference call with the RV coverage specialist at Progressive.
Their roadside assistance plan is $44 and change per year. It includes changing a flat tire, keys locked in the coach, out of gas help, etc. I told the lady that there were just a few GMC motorhome service facilities in the US; one in California, two in Florida, one in Ohio, etc. She was very definite in her reply. She said there was no way Progressive would pay for a long distance tow. Progressive will tow you to the"nearest" RV service center who could network with one of the GMC specialists. I thanked her for the information...
Progressive is not an option for towing.
